Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter Brownie Bread

Once again the utterly delicious and decadent marriage of peanut butter and chocolate has got my drooling in the kitchen. It’s hard to make it through the processing of a batch of these babies – the smell alone is enough to send me swooning.
Luckily, the luscious slices were baked with a specific purpose (other than consuming with gusto).
Baking for best friends simply cannot be overrated.
Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter Brownie Bread
1 cup butter, melted and then cooled
14 oz. bittersweet chocolate chunks, divided
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
6 large eggs, divided
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 cup smooth peanut butter (slightly warmed)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Beat together the melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and FIVE eggs until frothy. Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and finally a little more than half of the chocolate chunks.
Pour into the prepared loaf pan.
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining egg, peanut butter, and powdered sugar.
Spread the peanut butter layer over the brownie batter.
Then, top with the remaining chocolate chunks.
Bake for about 40-45 minutes, until the chocolate is mostly melted and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow to cool thoroughly before slicing and serving.
TIP – vanilla ice cream takes this to another dimension!
